Inilabas ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ang mga gabay sa School Calendar and Activities para sa Taong Panuruan 2022-2023 alinsunod sa commitment nito sa pagpapatuloy ng 5 araw ng in-person classes.
Nilagdaan ni Bise Presidente at Kalihim Sara Z. Duterte nitong Lunes, itinatakda ng DepEd Order No. 034, series of 2022 ang pagsisimula ng klase sa Agosto 22 at magtatapos sa Hulyo 7, 2023. Magkakaroon ng 203 araw ng pasukan o maaaring matukoy ng karagdagang issuances kung sakaling may mga pagbabago sa kalendaryo ng paaralan dahil sa mga hindi inaasahang pangyayari.
DepEd orders all schools to shift to face-to-face classes by November 2
MANILA, Philippines — Starting November 2, public and private schools all over the country must transition to five days of in-person classes, as ordered by Education Secretary Vice President Sara Duterte.
This was contained in Department of Education (DepEd) Order 34, s. 2022, Duterte’s first order as education chief, which was made public on Tuesday.
“Starting November 2, 2022, all public and private schools shall have transitioned to five days in-person classes. After the said date, no school shall be allowed to implement purely distance learning or blended learning except for those that are implementing Alternative Modes,” the order read.
STEM students in Pasig ‘Push4Science’
In order to encourage students in Pasig City to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), the local government partnered with the Department of Science and Technology – National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) and Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) to launch the “Push4Science: Pasigueños Leading Change through STEM” program.
All systems go for Pasig school expansion projects
The Pasig City local government announced on Thursday, Oct. 20, the acquisition of two pieces of land to be used for the expansion of its schools facilities and other city projects aiming to improve the quality of education of the youth.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto posted on his Facebook page photos of his signing of Deeds of Sales for the lands.
